Warbler Way
Whistler, BC — Wedgwood
Contemporary alpine living in Whistler's Wedgwood neighbourhood
Warbler Way is a contemporary alpine home in one of Whistler's most coveted neighbourhoods. Designed by Mark Simone of Shelter Residential Design and brought to life by our team, this project showcases what happens when bold architectural vision meets meticulous construction execution.
The exterior pairs dramatic black metal cladding with warm cedar accents, creating a striking contrast against the surrounding forest. Expansive glazing frames views of the Coast Mountains while flooding the interior with natural light — even during Whistler's shorter winter days.
Inside, the home is defined by custom millwork that runs throughout — from the kitchen cabinetry to built-in storage and feature walls. Interior designer Britt Lothrop brought a refined material palette that balances the home's bold exterior with warm, livable spaces. Strategic lighting highlights architectural details and creates atmosphere in every room.
The construction demanded precision at every stage. Working on a sloped Wedgwood lot required careful site management, and the combination of metal cladding, cedar, and floor-to-ceiling window systems from The Window Merchant meant coordination between multiple specialized trades had to be flawless.
Warbler Way represents the kind of project Balmoral was built for — a home where the client's vision, the architect's design, and the builder's craft all come together without compromise.
