Published construction range: $400 to $650 per square foot. Land on our comparison table: $600,000 to $1.5 million.
The Whistler cost guide includes a comparison table. Squamish construction is listed at $400 to $650 per square foot. Whistler is $500 to $800+. Pemberton on that same table is $400 to $650. The Squamish builder page repeats $400 to $650.
Land on that table is $600,000 to $1.5 million in Squamish, against $1 million to $5 million+ in Whistler and $500,000 to $1.5 million in Pemberton. The guide also says Pemberton and Squamish construction is generally 10 to 20 percent lower than Whistler, because access and regulation are less severe. Quality is not supposed to drop with the rate.
Arithmetic, not a new quote: at $400 to $650 per square foot, 3,000 square feet is $1.2 million to $1.95 million before land. The Whistler guide's matching example at $500 to $800 is $1.5 million to $2.4 million. Your lot can leave both examples behind.
The District of Squamish adopted Step 3 for Part 9 houses, per the Step Code guide. Budget the envelope. Do not treat Step 3 as a free upgrade.
$400 to $650 per square foot is the published band, not a bid.
$600,000 to $1.5 million is the table's Squamish land band.

Flood plain, servicing, and access can erase a cheap lot. Use land consultation.
Windline in Brackendale is the Squamish project: arena, barns, compost, staff housing. It is not a $400-a-foot house example.

Per-square-foot ranges exclude land. They also move when the site needs a road, a flood-construction level, or a complicated envelope.
Squamish kitchens are published at $60,000 to $175,000+. Suites at $150,000 to $300,000. Those are different products.
